European Countries Now Having To Reimpose COVID-19 Restrictions November 11, 2021 As the northern hemisphere heads into winter, more European countries are having to reintroduce COVID-19 restrictions as cases spike. Countries that were hailed as ‘COVID-19 success stories’ with high vaccination rates are being inundated with cases, including Denmark, Germany, Norway, and the Czech Republic. Germany’s national health minister has warned the spike represents a “pandemic of the unvaccinated.” Countries like Denmark and the Czech Republic have reintroduced health passes and vaccination checks to limit the spread of the virus amongst the unvaccinated. Denmark Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen acknowledged that as a result life would become more difficult for those not vaccinated, but added “That’s how I think it should be.”
