For those new to CPAP, CPAP stands for “Continuous Positive Airway Pressure”. It is a common treatment for Obstructive Sleep Apnea or OSA, which is diagnosed through a sleep study. Those suffering from obstructive sleep apnea can stop breathing during the night due to their airways closing.

For those who have been diagnosed with obstructive sleep apnea by your doctor, there are different CPAP machines and CPAP masks to suit a variety of different treatment needs. Sove CPAP Clinic is here to help you find the right CPAP machine and mask for you.

There are three main categories of machines commonly described as ‘CPAP’ machines. If you are unsure of what CPAP machine you should use, we recommend you speak to your doctor or clinician about what machine would be best for you.

  • Fixed Pressure CPAP machines – these deliver a constant air pressure throughout the night.
  • Automatic CPAP machines or APAP machines – these machines deliver a variable air pressure which adjusts based on your needs during the night. By delivering the minimum pressure needed, APAP machines can be much more comfortable.
  • BiPAP machines or Bi-level machines – these machines change pressure every time you inhale and exhale. These machines are usually only used by patients who require a very high pressure, or for those who have respiratory or cardiac failure.

We also have travel CPAP options available, so that you can take your treatment wherever you go.

There are also three main categories of CPAP masks, made to suit a variety of different faces. These include:

  • Full Face CPAP Masks – these masks cover the nose and mouth, and are the best choice for patients who breath through their mouth when they sleep.
  • Nasal CPAP masks – these masks go over the nose, and are more compact than full face masks. They are also more stable for restless sleepers.
  • Nasal Pillow CPAP masks – these masks sit just below the nostrils and may have prongs which rest inside the nose. They are lighter, and are often preferred by those who have thick facial hair, like to wear their glasses before bed, and for those who feel claustrophobic with other masks.

If you aren’t sure which CPAP mask would suit you best, or are thinking about changing your mask, our CPAP consultants are ready to help you. Call us today, or book a mask fitting appointment at one of our many clinics supplying CPAP services to Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and more. We also offer CPAP mask trials so that you can test out your mask before purchase. Our CPAP Consultants take the time to go through all the different mask types, including CPAP nasal masks, CPAP full face masks and CPAP nasal pillow masks so that patients get the optimal CPAP mask fit.

For those looking for CPAP accessories or replacement parts for their existing CPAP machine or mask, we have everything you need. Sove CPAP clinic has a comprehensive collection of CPAP mask headgears, cushions, frames as well as CPAP machine humidifiers, seals and other spare parts. If you’re struggling to find a part or accessories, speak with one of our consultants and they can assist you.

Our 360 care plan also allows eligible patients to access regular supplies, sleep studies, sleep specialist consults and more so that patients can access all the support they need during CPAP treatment. We also have CPAP machine hire and rental options, and second-hand CPAP machines available to suit any budget.

If you come across any issues during your CPAP treatment, our experienced consultants can also help you with any CPAP troubleshooting issues over the phone or in person. Whether it’s mask leaks, water in your CPAP tubing, issues with your CPAP pressure or an uncomfortable mask, our trained CPAP consultants can walk you through solutions, or arrange a repair or replacement with the manufacturer if need be. Submit your enquiry, or contact us via phone or email to speak more about our on-going patient support.

For those looking for alternate CPAP treatment options, we also offer sleep apnea positional devices and anti-snoring devices such as RipSnore and the Best In Rest anti-snoring belt.
