The Acapella® Choice Vibratory PEP Therapy System combines the benefits of both Positive Expiratory Pressure therapy and airway vibrations to mobilize airway secretions and can be used in virtually any position allowing patients to move freely and sit, stand or recline. It is the ideal at-home therapy solution for patients with lung diseases and secretory problems (such as COPD, asthma, cystic fibrosis and lung infections).
The Acapella® system consists of:
- Removable mouthpiece
- Acapella® Vibratory PEP Device with 22 mm male fittings including:
- Expiratory resistance/frequency adjustment dial
- One-way inspiratory valve
- Patient end which adapts to a mouthpiece, or mask. (if pressure monitoring feedback is desired, the Smiths Medical TheraPEP® pressure port may be inserted).
- Mouthpiece (detachable)
