Frequently Asked Questions

The ResMed Mirage Quattro Full Face CPAP Mask is a full-face mask designed for PAP therapy, covering both the nose and mouth to deliver effective treatment—particularly for those who breathe through their mouth during sleep. Its flexible dual-wall cushion, featuring Spring Air™ technology, allows you to move comfortably throughout the night while maintaining a reliable seal. The MicroFit dial makes it easy to adjust the forehead support for a more personalised fit, while the headgear clips are designed to keep your preferred settings in place and allow for quick, hassle-free removal when needed.

The ResMed AirFit F20 Full Face CPAP Mask and ResMed Mirage Quattro Full Face CPAP Mask are both full-face masks that cover the nose and mouth, but they differ in design, feel, and ease of use.

The F20 is the newer, more streamlined option, featuring ResMed’s InfinitySeal silicone cushion, which has a softer and smoother feel against the skin. In comparison, the Mirage Quattro uses a thinner Spring Air cushion with a slightly tackier texture, helping to maintain a secure seal throughout the night.

In terms of design, the F20 offers a more minimal fit without a forehead support, while the Mirage Quattro includes an adjustable forehead bar for added stability. The F20 also comes with optional magnetic clips for easier handling, whereas the Mirage Quattro uses non-magnetic clips, making it a suitable choice for those with metallic implants.

The ResMed Mirage Quattro Full Face CPAP Mask and ResMed Quattro Air Full Face CPAP Mask are both full-face masks designed to cover the nose and mouth, and both use ResMed’s Spring Air silicone cushion to provide a secure seal during therapy. The key difference lies in their design and overall feel. The Mirage Quattro has a more traditional, structured design with an adjustable MicroFit forehead support, allowing for a more customised fit. In contrast, the Quattro Air is the newer model, designed to be lighter, quieter, and more streamlined. It replaces the adjustable forehead support with a lighter flex-wing design and features fewer parts, making it easier to clean and assemble.

Yes, the ResMed Mirage Quattro Full Face CPAP Mask is compatible with all standard CPAP machines that use 22mm cuff tubing, which is the industry standard across most devices we supply.

This means it will work with all CPAP machines available through Sove CPAP Clinic, with the exception of the ResMed AirMini CPAP Machine, which uses a proprietary connection system. If you’d like to use the Mirage Quattro with the AirMini, we recommend using a ZeephAir connector together with ResMed SlimLine tubing to ensure compatibility.

The ResMed Mirage Quattro Full Face CPAP Mask is suitable for people who breathe through their mouth during sleep, as it delivers therapy through both the nose and mouth to maintain effective pressure throughout the night. It’s also a good option for those who experience nasal congestion, as it ensures you can continue therapy even when nasal breathing is difficult.

This mask is often well-suited to active sleepers who tend to move around a lot, thanks to its stable design and adjustable forehead support that helps maintain a secure seal. While it can work particularly well for people with flatter facial profiles or smaller facial projection, it may also be suitable for those with more prominent facial features, as the fit can be adjusted to achieve a comfortable and effective seal.

To keep your mask performing at its best, we recommend a simple daily and weekly cleaning routine.

After Each Use

After every use, wash or gently wipe down the cushion to remove facial oils and help maintain an effective seal for the next night’s therapy.

Weekly Cleaning

Once a week, fully disassemble the mask and wash all components in warm water (around 30°C) using mild soap or a diluted dishwashing detergent. Rinse thoroughly with drinking-quality water and allow all parts to air dry out of direct sunlight before reassembling.

Important Notes

Avoid using bleach, alcohol, essential oils, citrus-based cleaners, or strong fragrances, as these can damage the mask and leave harmful residues. Do not soak components for long periods or use heat to dry them, as this may cause damage.

Like most CPAP masks, the ResMed Mirage Quattro Full Face CPAP Mask is designed for durability, however regular use will naturally lead to wear and tear over time. To maintain optimal performance, certain components should be replaced on a routine schedule.

General replacement guide:

Cushion: Every 6 months, or sooner if you notice leaks, discolouration, or reduced comfort

Headgear: Every 6 months, particularly if it becomes stretched, worn, or loses its original shape

Frame and elbow: These parts typically last longer, but should be replaced if they become cracked, warped, or no longer fit securely

If your mask starts to feel less comfortable, becomes noisier, or begins leaking more than usual, it may be a sign that one or more components need replacing.

Yes, the Resmed Mirage Quattro contains no magnetic components, making it safe for people with metallic medical implants. If you are unsure whether a mask is suitable for you due to your medical condition/s, speak to your doctor beforehand.

Yes, the Mirage Quattro is a full face CPAP mask that covers both the nose and mouth, making it an ideal option for people who breathe through their mouth during sleep or tend to sleep with their mouth open. This ensures you can continue receiving effective therapy even if nasal breathing isn’t consistent overnight.

The Mirage Quattro is compatible with all standard CPAP tubing. Before fitting, make sure that the swivel piece from your previous mask is still not in the tubing, as this can prevent the new mask from connecting properly. Removing the swivel piece may require some strength and a firm pull. If you are still unable to attach the mask, please call 1300 76 29 39 for assistance from one of our friendly CPAP consultants.
